我们先读题干，得到大概这样一个印象：
尽管后来的记叙中可靠的资源的__________导致中国周朝早期的历史的很多细节无法被证实，周朝统治者迅速兴起并夺取了权力（这个细节）是一定的。
那么我们可以看出来空里面其实是要我们填，是资源的什么导致了细节无法被证实。首先我们可以把表示正面意思的选项authenticity和credibility排除掉。接下来，我们很容易想到，没有资源就会导致无法被证实，而没有的意思也就是和稀缺的意思差不多。所以就应该选资源的“稀缺”，就可以选出paucity和dearth。
这道题中需要同学们重点识记的几个单词是：
paucity adj. 小数目；少；不足，缺乏
the presence of something in only small or insufficient quantities or amounts
💡例句：
The paucity of fruit was caused by the drought.
（当时的）水果缺乏状况是由于干旱造成的。
dearth n. 缺乏, 稀少
a scarcity or lack of something
💡例句：
There is a dearth of good children’s plays.
目前缺少优秀的儿童剧。
opacity n. 晦涩；难解
obscurity of meaning
💡例句：
This sense of opacity and impenetrability gives the authorities the upper hand.
这种晦涩和不可理解星会使当局占上风。
ambiguity n. （语言）意义不明确，含糊
uncertainty or inexactness of meaning in language
💡例句：
We can detect no ambiguity in this section of the Act.
对发案的这个部分，我们没有发觉有含糊不清的地方。

尽管由于在后世的（历史）叙述中，出现的可靠的来源比较稀少，使得中国古代周王朝的早期历史的真伪无法验证，但周朝统治者（厚朴GRE注：推翻了商朝）迅速夺取了政权这个事实是确凿无疑的。
